Tuition and Fees

Triangle Day School relies on tuition and fees income to meet operating expenses. Therefore, it is essential that contracts are for the entire year. No reduction or remission of fees can be allowed by the School for absence or withdrawal. The fact that the School fees are paid in two or more installments does not constitute a fractional contract.

2013-2014 Tuition:
Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten: $10,030
First and Second Grades: $11,100
Third through Fifth Grades: $12,040
Sixth through Eighth Grades: $13,510

Application Fee:A $75.00 non-refundable application fee is due when completing an Enrollment Application online. Returning students do not pay the application fee.

Building Fee: All students are required to pay a one-time $1000.00 building fee. This payment can be one lump sum or installments but must be paid in full to TADS (our online Tuition Management System) by December 15, 2013.

Tuition Refund Plan: Participation in the Tuition Refund Plan is required unless tuition, fees, and other charges are paid in full on or before July 15th, in which case the Plan is elective. This plan provides an allowance of tuition fees in the event of a student’s withdrawal. Details of the plan are available in the Business Office. The cost for the 2013-2014 academic year is 1.2% of the annual tuition charges and is due and payable with the first tuition payment of the year.  Click HERE for more information on the plan.

Triangle Day School Tuition Assistance: Triangle Day School designates funds to assist families who are unable to pay the full cost of tuition.  Funds are awarded on the basis of the family’s demonstrated financial need. Aid is awarded annually, and recipients must reapply each year. Triangle Day School’s Committee on Financial Aid determines awards annually using the information the family supplies to Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS). Submission of a Tuition Assistance Application will have no effect on admissions decisions. All financial information, including award amounts, is kept completely confidential.

For the 2013-2014 academic year, Financial aid applications are currently available at www.TADS.com.  New and current families must apply (or reapply) to receive aid for the 2013-2014 school year.

Important Dates to Remember

December 31, 2012:  Deadline for current TDS families to apply (or reapply) for Financial Aid
January 15, 2013:  Re-enrollment contracts with financial aid awards issued to current families
January 31, 2013: Deadline for new (prospective) TDS families to apply for Financial Aid
February 15, 2013: Contracts with financial aid awards issued for new families in grades TK - 1
March 8, 2013: Contracts with financial aid awards issued for new families in grades 2 - 8
 

BeforeSchool Care/After School Program: Triangle Day School provides before school care (or Walking Club) from 7:30 AM until 8:15 AM for Lower School students and from 7:30 AM until 8:05 for Middle School students. There is no charge for before school care.  The After School Program begins at dismissal and goes through 6:00 PM. Cost for the After School program is $18/day regardless of the length of stay.
